SWOSU Day 15: Yet Another Sunday at SSP Ruoyi’s Day in the Life Version 2

Hello, I am Ruoyi from California! Today marks the second Sunday of SSP and the second (and last) blog post written by me. Just like before, I will recap what occurred on this day except I forgot to keep track of timing of events throughout the day.

So I woke up at around 8:30 AM but fell back asleep for around one more hour. After fully awake, I made the brilliant choice of continuing to rot in bed and playing games on my phone. Then I headed out to eat a “balanced” breakfast which included a microwaved Cup Noodles stir fry and half of a BLT sandwich. While enjoying my breakfast, I thankfully got reminded of the fact that I had signed up to write the blog post today which I had honestly forgotten about.

After finishing up breakfast, I worked on and struggled with my organic chemistry problem sets due next week. Around 1 PM, I decided to take a break to recharge on my critically low brain cells. All my friends had noodles while I drank hot chocolate with marshmallows since I unfortunately already ate noodles in the morning. And just to clarify, it was actual hot chocolate that I made with boiling water not the frozen version. Although it took several long minutes for it to finally cool down enough for it to be drinkable, it tasted amazing.

Then, it was back to the problem sets. Around 2 hours passed before I needed another break. My friend and I was craving ice cream but it was too frozen to scoop so we decided to take it outside to melt in the 100+ Degrees Fahreinheit weather. Of course, we brought our problems sets outside as well. I ate mint chocolate chip ice cream which is objectively the best flavor based on the standards and requirements set by yours truly. After struggling to figure out whether the last reaction was E1 or E2, we decided to call it quits and headed back inside. By then, the ice cream had melted substantially and I decided to just finish what was left of the container.

After finishing my problem sets due next week, I realized that I needed to work on an Instagram post for one of my extracurriculars that was due in just a few hours. I sat myself down, opened up Canva and got to work.

When finished with the post, I decided to practice my basically non-existent card shuffling skills in preparation for the various card games that I had been playing in the past few days.

Then I checked the time and realized that it was getting close to dinner and that I still needed to change into formal wear. I rushed back to my dorm room but I decided to take a picture of a bird in a tree on the walk back. Try to spot the bird in the picture below (without zooming in)!

I changed into my semiformal wear for dinner and headed back to the CPP (Chemistry, Pharmacy, and Physics) building.

Dinner was pasta which was very delicious.

After dinner, I goofed around with my friends before heading back to the dorm hall. I then facetimed my non-SSPer friend back in California at around 8 PM.

Once my facetime ended, my roommate and I was invited downstairs to play some games. I watched an intense game of foosball played with a heavily dented ping pong ball. Then I decided to play a round too and even with my lack of hand-eye coordination, my team won!

It turns out that everyone including me wanted to play a card game called Nertz so my roommate and I then rushed upstairs to get our decks of cards. We played many stress-inducing but exhiliarting rounds before I decided that it was finally time to take a shower and start getting ready for bed.

After my shower, I texted my parents and started working on this blog post that you are reading right this second.

It is 12:38 AM as I am writing this sentence. I will be going to sleep very soon after this as I will need to wake up early for the group Hot Girl Walk (which includes everyone interested) in the morning.

And that’s a wrap to this blog post and to me writing these!
